The Things I Know

‘The only thing I know is that I know nothing’- Socrates

Sometimes our voices have no way to know which way to go. There is silence and then there are dreams that cling onto our throats unexpressed. Like ghosts our own thoughts haunt us, and what we are left with is time. To think. To know. To think we know. The clock slows down as we sit and wait for an answer. And so we wait, we keep on waiting. Until the day, when all the things we want to know become known to us. In knowing we grow, and in growth we go back to not knowing again.

To the Self the Great Return

UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_d00

You’re in a relationship, something isn’t clicking. You enjoy each other’s company, there are good days and some days, well let’s say they’re just…okay. You eat in silence, because there’s not much to talk about. Some nights you find yourself getting up and staring up at the ceiling, hoping that all the doubt you feel inside will be resolved by some kind of miracle. Divine intervention. You pray that your dreams will satisfy you, because the emptiness you feel inside is way too much to bear. There’s something missing but you can’t quite figure out what it is. You can definitely feel it. The reality of the void hits you rock bottom. The heaviness of your stomach rises like a solid to your throat, it sticks to you like a chronic cold. You’re fevering up but you still can’t find the courage to move on. Afraid to hurt yourself or is it another? Honesty is the greatest commitment. You can’t pretend to be something you never were meant to be. Nor can you fool yourself any longer. What you feel is real and moving forward is the only way to heal. You can’t drag someone else along with you. In love, we take no hostages. The only casualties that remain at the end of a battle are our own selves. We pick ourselves up and mend our wounds alone. That is the only way to find our way back home. The journey is always a long and lonely one, but in the end no matter what we will find ourselves. Just like it was in the beginning, so we find ourselves in the end. To the self the great return.

Time Flies

I shook my head
side to side
Image after image
flashing by
in a split second
without a blink of an eye
it was tomorrow
and then again today
all happening yesterday
a lapse of the mind
all inevitably passing by
without even stopping by
to wave a final goodbye.

Is it really worth it?

asset182

Sometimes you think to yourself: Is it really worth it?
All this control, the need to give yourself to the fullest. To make it. Make a name for yourself.
All for what? For others opinions of you? Congratulations and thank yous.
Is it really worth their words of praise? Or are you doing it all for yourself? To feel good about you for a change. Tough childhood’s to blame. Is it really worth it? This game’s a tough one. It’s win or lose. An all in hand in poker. But you have to choose. Full on, green light or hide your head in the sand. What side’s more fair to wear? Once you’ve had your share, will you share it with others? Or keep it all to yourself?
Is it really worth it? Step your foot in foreign land. Call it your own for a while. Never will be home. Home is where the heart is wise ones say. Who will show you the way? Your footsteps are far too removed to guide you. Their trails long forgotten will only appear as glimpses in dreams. Will you remember when you awaken? Or like memory, will you drift into pools of deep waters consuming the clarity of your mind?
Shatter this illusion you live in. Break it into teeny tiny pieces. So small that a curious toddler wouldn’t even pick it up and put it in it’s mouth. Where is it? This illusion. I can’t spot it anymore, nor do I understand if it even had value.
You see, I can’t judge others. Nor myself. But I can’t hide the need to disagree with perceptions. Certain perceptions. Correct me if I’m wrong. Is man not free to be himself? Woman to be hers? When did we decide to place power on the few, who criticise our every move? I am tired of this lie they’ve sold us. Ex-hausted. Already in the past. Long gone. They’ve demoralised us and if that wasn’t enough they’re mocking us. Laughing their buttons off as we slave away. We’ve all incarnated together again, a different creed. Same faces, different masks. We’ve been playing their game far too long. I’m out.
No- not dystopia. Nor the wrist cutting kind. I’m just too open minded and seeing reality far too crystal clear. This system is rigged. For those of you with open mouths, I’m sorry. This isn’t meant to be a shocker. You knew this day would come. Comfort zone no more. Feed the children is all I hear these days. Save the refugees. And if you please, bend down on your knees and save humanity.
Humanity needs to save itself.
All of us one by one, need to take a stand. Change ourselves. Work with higher powers. Expanding our consciousness. Enlightening ourselves. Not by reading books by A B C guru but by doing the work by ourselves, Within us. Each and every one of us. No one can teach you the trick. You need to make the effort.
Begin each day by appreciating. Each and every moment you experience. The people you love. Love them more. Fill your heart with so much love you can’t even handle it. Gratitude is a blessing. The food you eat, the air your breathe, the nature around you.
Place passion in whatever you do. A cause, a song, a dance. Find the art in it all. Art will paint anything you pursue, from mechanics to science. It’s all about shaping it with color. Add a touch of your own shade into the mix and create a fine blend of mastery.
Be forgiving and compassionate. People do things, and yes sometimes they may seem a bit far out. Crossing limits. But you know what? Get over it. There’s no need to hold a grudge. Karma will keep you in loops if you don’t move on. So take a deep breath and proceed with pride.
And boy- ego. That’s a tough one. When used as a friend, it’s not all that bad. It can give you an energy boost, even help you feel confident and strong. Win battles of the self. Even help you get over the things you fear. But when it gets out of hand, the relationship does go sour. So use it as an ally but with boundaries. We don’t need more shadows.
And man-LOVE. Keep that word tight in your heart. Those four letters will save you.

Amen.

Face of the Sun

asset142-png

I felt her roots firmly ground me,

Morning dew

Washing the pain away.

She shied her power

With a humble smile at the Sun.

The light on her face

Healing forests afar,

A single seed of hers

Greeting seven generations to come.

Without a whimper
He told her “I’m sorry”.
She looked up at him in doubt,
Too good to be true fairytales
Not her cup of tea.
You see,
SHE was the prince of Her Story.

Song: Dreams- Fleetwood Mac

Change is All We Need

We humans struggle to find what we are looking for. We go about life, not knowing what we want, engaging in different relationships, trying to fulfill ourselves through the comfort we think we will find in the arms of others. The fear of facing one’s true self blocks a lot of people from spending time alone in order to heal and grow. This results in relationship after relationship where one finds that they are repeating the same patterns, face the same challenges and relive similar disappointments.

Why do we like being hurt so much?

Humans do not consciously attract hurt and pain. Love is deeply rooted in our nature. However, what can be described as a major “flaw” in our modern society is that we do not realise that we are the ones who need to change in order for other people to change how they view and treat us.

Me, Change?

We are all mirrors of one another.
If I project insecurity, weakness and vulnerability in my character, this will usually lead to the attraction of unhealthy relationships. I will be constantly beaten down and kicked by abuse, and this cycle will never end unless I become conscious of it.
On the other hand, if I project strength and balance as a person, this will give me the power to attract helpful people who will provide me with growth. In the long run, I too can reciprocate the good they have to offer me in my life’s journey.

How can I become strong and balanced?

There are a lot of self help books out there and courses on strengthening the self. A and B can tell you how to do it. I can try too. Meditate, spiritual practice, yadayada I can go on forever. The truth is the power lies in you. Only YOU can make the change you seek. As simple as that. Sure, there are several pathways you can take and wonderful sources that provide you with valid information and helpful insight. However, there is no following the book in this process of self development. It is a long road ahead, with a lot of hard work. If you are not willing to become your own guru and make the effort to grow and evolve as an individual, no one will do the work for you.

Wait, you mean I can become my own healer?

This is a new age we are stepping into with the tremendous help from a lot of external sources that are beyond our human understanding. The energy of the earth is shifting to higher dimensions, giving us the ability to awaken to perhaps the highest stage in our our human evolution. Given that factor, there are a lot of people who have already done the work and made several changes in their own habits reflecting the old paradigm and can thus show the way. This does not necessarily mean that they are leaders or ahead of the game in any way, it is only a matter of timing. When one is ready, the change will happen. It is not a competition. Thus, group work is essential at this time. Having the ability to be flexible and open to experiencing what one feels comfortable with is key to helping oneself break patterns that are holding them back from further development.

How do I know what teachings or “group work” are right for me?

It is a matter of feeling rather than thinking. If you instinctively feel something is right for you, then simply go for it! Explore, that is what it is all about. Instead of procrastinating and doubting, allow yourself to plunge into the unknown and you will be surprised at how liberating the experience is. There are several healing modalities out there, just trust that your heart will guide you to the one that is meant to be. Rather than following one way, one method, one guru, be open to multiple sources to guide you to the change you seek. As you begin attracting health and balance into your body, this will also open up more and more helpful people, situations and circumstances. Life starts to truly become synchronistic and magical.

You make it sound so fairytale like and so easy. Can it be as simple as that?

Believe me, there are no prince charmings or princesses waiting to give you a pat on the back. This is a tough ride, challenging journey full of constant turns and shifts, temptations and pullbacks. We are truly spirit having a very physical experience, so we have to appreciate this reality and find the balance between the two. There are always helpers acting like guardian angels here on earth to help you, and so much help from the other side too. Several masters, like Jesus and Buddha walked the path and taught the path for us. We are now realising this potential even though it has taken us so many years and so many religious wars! We are one in the same, Inlakesh, I am another you. It is finally  time to wake up and realise the power of these words. What so many of our ancestors have fought for and sacrificed themselves for in the past. Let’s not let all that work go to waste.

Reclaim your power and make the change.

Song: Unchained Melody- Righteous Brothers

Polarities of Self-Discovery

Fearless fire

Burn desire

Bring alight

All my fright

So I too

Smell sweet perfume

Of crimson.

Smudge me ash

With a clash

May all I hide

Soon collide,

With all I dream.

A song

I blissfully hum

In a tune

Of a new

Me.

When all dark

Is through

And what is true

Seeps out.

Then shall

I know

What “I” am

truly about.
